St.Mary’s English Medium School Manarcad, is a co-educational unaided school following the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi syllabus and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi.St. Mary’s English Medium School was established in 1992.
The years have flown by since and the standard set by the school has seen the student strength growing very positively each year.The well designed building that would offer better facilities in terms of large playground, spacious classrooms, science laboratories, IT laboratory, a hall and adequate administrative space.
In 2002 it was also decided to upgrade it to secondary level. The current school building was constructed in 1998. This building apart from having spacious, airy and sunlit classrooms also has the facilities that are required for a good school.
The best asset of the school is its teachers. They form its backbone. All the teachers of the school are well qualified. To keep them abreast with developments in the field of education frequent in-house workshops are conducted. Apart from these, In-service workshops by experts in different subjects are also periodically conducted.
Some of these have been held in the past few years like in Hindi, Maths and Social Science, creative teaching , value education are a few other topics .These staff developmental activities have enabled us to reorganize teaching to make it activity oriented , project and application based , with emphasis on the acquisition of the skills of self learning by children. Methods of evaluation have also undergone a change in keeping with the current teaching – learning approach.
Today, the school has around 900 students, from Play Class to Class X, supported by a committed team of 45 qualified teachers and 16 non-teaching staff members. Together, they strive to create a disciplined, caring, inclusive, and student-friendly learning environment that nurtures academic excellence, character, creativity, and overall development.
